    Description: The Chicago office is looking to hire a 4-6 year associate to join our Global Corporate practice group with a focus on M&A, private equity and general corporate matters. Our Chicago corporate practice is highly-sophisticated, collegial and thriving. Responsibilities include producing acquisition, equity and related documents in a client-ready format, and running key aspects of transactions, including supervising due diligence and more junior members of the deal team, coordinating specialty areas of a transaction, negotiating and revising key agreements, handling client communications, and generally working with partners as a key senior member of deal teams and client relationships. Important attributes include the ability to play a first- or second-chair role on transactions; to delegate and supervise junior associates; and work effectively with colleagues in other practice areas and jurisdictions.     Managing Counsel: The Managing Counsel will be an integral part of the legal and business affairs team, working closely with the Chief Legal Officer, the General Counsel and the Senior Advisor of Strategic Partnerships, to advise LA 2028’s senior management on matters relating to venue use agreements, hospitality-related agreements and compliance matters. This position will leverage negotiation, relationship-building and communication skills to (1) liase with senior leaders and counsel at all venues included in the LA 2028 Games plan, negotiating venue use agreements for the use of such venues in the Games; (2) liase with management and counsel at all hotels included in the LA 2028 accommodation plan, negotiating 40,000+ room nights for use during the Olympic and Paralympic Games; and (3) liase with management and counsel of all outdoor advertising operators who manage inventory in and around the Olympic and Paralympic venues, negotiating outdoor advertising inventory for use during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In addition, this role will support all compliance related matters, including coordinating with officers and directors to complete questionnaires and aid with conflicts of interest inquiries.     Deputy General Counsel: The Deputy General Counsel will be an integral part of the legal team, reporting to the General Counsel, and advising LA 2028’s senior management on all matters affecting the legal rights and obligations of the corporation and its affiliates. The successful candidate will have experience with corporate governance and various commercial transactions, preferably including financing, real estate, joint ventures, and intellectual property matters.
