Dear #NFALAfamily,
It has been an uncertain and tumultuous time for us all across the nation. The coronavirus has disrupted our
daily lives. I know that there are even NFALA members who are currently infected with the virus.
In response to this threat, we will do what we do in our careers as attorneys — fight. We will fight not only
for justice, but also for our way of life. We have seen racism arise from fear in our communities, and NFALA has
joined in and will continue to speak out against anti-Asian bigotry and xenophobia. NFALA will continue to be
the national voice and strive for impacting positive change for our community.
NFALA’s number one priority is the safety and health of our members. We continue to monitor the impact of the
coronavirus and will continue to do so. Some of the programs that we have planned for this year, such as our
Mid-Year Leadership Conference, are now tentative, but we hope to be able to find ways to hold them, if not
later in the year, then virtually.
Additionally, during this time, starting as early as next week. we intend to utilize virtual meetings, webinars,
and other ways to connect. We want to solidify our bonds with each other so that we can come together during
these trying times and emerge as a stronger community. Please stay tuned.
On behalf of the entire NFALA Board, I wish you and your loved ones all the best. Stay safe, and if there is
anything NFALA can do to help, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Ingat,
Phil Nulud
NFALA President
